Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “What I Love:Feels sturdy and well-made – no more worrying about breaking it like my old glass pressDouble-wall insulation keeps coffee nice and hot while brewingComes with extra mesh filters (a thoughtful bonus)Clear, easy-to-read measurement markings on the insideI was lucky to get it at a great priceA Few Minor Drawbacks:The mesh filter’s center cut is a bit rough and might not last as long as my old oneNo exterior fill lines (though the inside markings work just fine)I wonder if the inside markings might fade over time from the filter rubbing against themAfter years of using a glass French press, I decided it was time for something sturdier. My old silica glass one worked fine—until it broke far too easily. This stainless steel press is a welcome upgrade. It feels solid, is insulated to keep coffee hot while steeping, and I was lucky enough to snag it at a great price. The press arrived with extra mesh filters, which is a thoughtful touch. Two were already stacked on the shaft, but you only need one for brewing. They’re good quality, though the cutout in the center is a little rough, so I’m curious to see if it will wear out faster than my old filter (which lasted over a year). The insulation is a big plus—my coffee stays piping hot during brewing. If you prefer to drink it immediately after steeping, you might want to leave the lid off to allow it to cool to a drinkable temperature. One thing I miss from my old press is the exterior fill markings. Since this one is stainless steel, those can’t be on the outside—but it does have clear, easy-to-read measurements etched inside. My only concern is that over time, the filter rubbing against the walls could fade those markings.Overall, I love the durability, heat retention, and the peace of mind that comes from not worrying about breaking it. It feels like a smart upgrade from glass, and at the price I paid, it’s hard to beat.”
Customer Review: “I bought this because I had to throw away a glass one that became cracked. I’d had enough of that, so I bought this one. No regrets. I would recommend it to anyone. Easy to clean, easy to use and makes great coffee. My formula for this French press is: 4 cups of boiling water and 8 LEVEL tablespoons of coffee. I pour a little amount of boiling water into the coffee maker and let it sit for about 1 minute. Then pour in the rest of the water. Put the lid on but don’t push the plunger yet. Let it sit for 4 minutes and then SLOWLY push the plunger down until it can’t go any further.Thought I would include my formula for this one because initially, I didn’t know the ratio of water to coffee for me. I am used to a smaller coffee press. But, everyone should work out what works for them. I like a little stronger coffee.so you may want to use less of the coffee grounds.I am thoroughly enjoying this French press and the coffee it makes. This press keeps coffee warm a little longer than a glass one.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “My husband and I absolutely love this Secura French Press. The fifty ounce size is perfect for us and easily makes five full cups of coffee or six if you pour them a little lighter. It is great for slow mornings together or when we want more than just a single cup.The stainless steel build feels very high quality and it is extremely well insulated. Our coffee stays hot for about two hours, which is a huge plus. The filter is excellent and so far we have had no issues with grounds slipping through, which has been a problem with other French presses we have owned. The only thing to be aware of is pressure. If you fill it too high and do not turn the arrow to release the pressure before pressing, the coffee and grounds can pop out. As long as you release the pressure properly, it works perfectly and is not an issue at all.Overall we are very happy with this purchase and use it regularly. It looks great, works beautifully, and makes delicious coffee. We would absolutely buy it again and recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality insulated French press.”
Customer Review: “I have only used French presses for about 12 years and I have had a few in that time. I even had an insulated one that I’ve used for a few years.I got this one yesterday to replace that one as it broke. This is very nice looking. Feels quality. I had my first cup of coffee and it was as expected…hot and delicious. I had my second cup an hour later and steam rose as I poured. The coffee was still a great temperature! This was not the case with my previous insulated french press.I am so thankful I got this one. I know. It’s only my first use, but there’s not much that can happen with a french press. If it does, I’ll amend this review.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “2 years of use review: I originally bought this French Press for making coffee while camping. It did a great job of that, easily making about a liter of coffee at a time – enough for me and my husband to both have about 2 big mugs, while keeping the coffee hot. But where I’ve really come to appreciate it is over the last few months, when I started using it daily at home almost every day. It works so well and is so easy! I use an electric kettle to boil water while I rinse out the metal filter from yesterday’s coffee grounds — takes very little time to clean and I can rinse the old grounds directly into my garbage disposal. No need to buy new filters or expensive pods. It only takes another minute or two to pour in the boiling water over fresh grounds, stir, then press. The coffee stays hot on our kitchen counter for hours, so I can make coffee when I get up and it’s still available when my husband gets up a bit later. I’ve probably owned every type of coffee maker over the years and this is simple and makes very good coffee — and holds up to daily use, too!”
Customer Review: “This is a really good unit. Bigger than any I’ve had and perfect for 2-3 people ( I drink coffee and want 1-2 coffees myself. So great if you want more coffee on hand.Just takes a min to brew up fresh pressed coffee.Nice thick stainless steel double wall actually does keep code hot a little while.Sturdy, and comfortable to use.Pours nice.Won’t break easy like glass.I use in my shop now every day.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I purchased this stainless press for an 18 day trip to the Philippines. Since everyone has those electric water kettles, I was able to easily have fresh delicious coffee everyday with this press. Even the last three days at Okada Manila I was able to make fresh coffee since they also had an electric kettle in the room, although a smaller hotel sized one than the standard residential size i had at my relative’s house.I brought enough coarse French press ground French roast coffee for 18 days in a couple ziplock bags and it thankfully made it through security at SFO along with the press in my carry-on. TSA simply swabbed the outside of the ziplock with some sort of test solution. They didn’t open the ziplocks or stir the coffee grounds. I heard that folks who put coffee in check-in luggage usually find it all over their luggage when unpacking, so I opted for carry-on transport, with the worst option being TSA making me throw it away at the checkpoint. Better than my clothes in luggage smelling like coffee. The press didn’t give a weird taste to the coffee as other presses were complained about in Amazon reviews.I skipped warming the press up first, per the instructions, since I didn’t want to waste relative’s filtered water they pay for in the Philippines. I just added my 6-8 tablespoons of grounds to the press and filled to the fill mark inside with boiling water, stirred the grounds, and started my iPhone timer for 4 minutes with Siri. Coffee was great every time and relatives got to enjoy it, as well. I started putting in only 6 tablespoons because 8 was honestly just too strong. But, 8 tablespoons is certainly a great tasting cup of coffee, as well. The mesh press fit the inside diameter just fine and no grounds were ever present in the poured coffee. The press’ handle did not break off like some similar designed presses on Amazon other reviewer’s complained about, and the press plunger action was smooth and consistent every time. The construction of the press is solid and it didn’t dent at all during my trip. I’m not sure how long it keeps coffee hot as I didn’t want the coffee to over-steep, so I poured the remaining coffee out into a large measuring cup I brought after filling my own carrafe, so it wasn’t too bitter. The press is easy to clean. I only wish I also brought a long spoon to get the grounds out of the bottom of the press as I only had a small tea stirring spoon to work with when I got to the hotel at the end of my trip. My hand was just small enough to fit inside the press to get to the bottom to scrape out the grounds. My large measuring cup, the press, the ground coffee, and a tablespoon measuring spoon was a great kit to bring. The included glass travel jar fits 8 tablespoons of grounds. I brought it filled with grounds but didn’t need to use it as I didn’t go on any side trips and had access to my ziplock full of coffee grounds the whole trip. But, it’s a nice travel jar, although not airtight, since the coffee smell made it out easily.I did test my press several times before packing for my trip to ensure it worked well. Overall, this is a great press, especially for someone who’s trying a French press for the first time, and it definitely is a great travel press model.”
Customer Review: “Definitely a well-built and attractive unit. We are very pleased with the ease of use and the spout which does not leak or splatter when pouring coffee (unlike some other brands we have used). Aesthetics and construction – 5+ stars! I have yet to experience the coating flaking off as others have stated, but I don’t put mine in the dishwasher and use a soft cloth/brush to hand wash it.The *only* disappointment is that the coffee does not stay nearly as hot if you let it stay in the coffee maker (which you really shouldn’t do anyway, see my comment later about that). I always pour extremely hot water into the unit, let it stand for a minute to “preheat” the container, pour it out and then add the coarse ground coffee and add new hot water from our tea kettle. Still, the coffee drops in temperature faster than we would have expected for a vacuum insulated unit.THIS IS NOT MEANT TO BE A THERMOS CONTAINEROthers have stated that the coffee becomes bitter when drinking the 2nd cup, but this is true with all French presses if you leave the coffee grinds in the press with the coffee after it brews. Many “coffee purists” suggest that you let the hot water “brew” in the press for the appropriate amount of time (varies depending on coffee, grind size, and your taste), and then immediately pour the entire contents into a preheated thermos or container to separate the brewed coffee from the grinds. This in itself solves the dropping temperature issue as I pour it into a high quality, vacuum sealed thermos which keeps the coffee hot longer. I use a Zojirushi stainless bottle which I bought on Amazon and works well. The coffee stays hot for hours though my work morning.Cleaning is typical for a French press…you just have to thoroughly wash the filter with running water until all of the grinds come loose. You may need to use a soft bristle brush or toothbrush to do a thorough cleaning. Also watch out for some of the sharp edges on the attachment while you operate the press and/or clean it. I’ve cut my finger already!METAL VS GLASS DEBATEThe only other comment I have to make is that metal coffee presses and thermoses can affect the flavor of coffee. In fact, I prefer my coffee made in glass and poured into glass or ceramic cups but the difference is so negligible that only a few connoisseurs will tell the difference.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I am so glad to have found this wonderful high quality, stainless steel French Press by Barista Warrior. It’s very sturdy and retains heat well, and all parts function perfectly for a very rich, delicious cup of coffee. It looks nice too, just exactly as pictured, and the wooden stirring spoon is a nice little bonus. I add a little bit of hot water first and then pour it out, just to start the interior out hot (not sure how important that step is, but it’s on the instruction page), add some coarsely ground coffee, a bit of hot water (around 195-200 F) to wet and bloom the ground coffee for about 30 seconds, then add the rest of the water and stir, put the lid on, and then after about 4 minutes I plunge down. Coffee is very rich using this method, and I find that this French Press retains the flavor and using this method, I get a smooth flavor too. I don’t really use the thermometer, as my electric water kettle already has a digital one, but it is a nice feature that could come in handy for those who prefer it. I bought this particular French Press based on quality and high reviews, and I’m really pleased with it. It’s very well worth the price.”
Customer Review: “If there is a better product I’ve bought off Amazon, I can’t think of it off hand. I’m so happy with this thing. First off, I only pour French Press, or straight espresso. I currently own 3 presses, two are glass and this one in SS. The fact that I can brew a pot, then come back for more and its still very much hot enough hours later….absolutely awesome. Super easy to clean, the filter comes apart easily for deep cleaning. The functionality with the thermometer is super handy, and the size is perfect for my lady and I to enjoy a couple cups each. In addition, my glass press’s always seemed harder to press, while this unit is a very smooth action. I use it daily. Great value for the money.”

Complete Buying Guide for Best Insulated French Press Coffee Maker
Essential Factors We Consider
When choosing the best insulated French press coffee maker, important factors include the quality of materials used—preferably food-grade stainless steel for durability and rust resistance. Double-wall insulation is critical to keep your coffee hot longer without burning it.
